Five Free Tickets to MHAC Fundraiser - Please Attend
CAPPN (formerly CSCSPN) bought five tickets to this event from a donation from Mary Ciambelli and we would like members to represent us. RSVP by June 8 (5PM) to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
On Thursday, June 11, Mental Health America of Colorado (MHAC) will host the second annual Improving Lives, Transforming Minds cocktail reception at 5:30pm at Green Spaces (2590 Walnut Street, Denver, CO 80205). This event is a fun evening celebrating MHAC's education, prevention and outreach programs. Art and poetry from Check Your Head students will be featured, Pro Bono program recipients' stories of impact will be told, and delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served. We hope you will consider partnering with us by sponsoring this year's exciting event.
The Improving Lives, Transforming Minds event also gives MHAC the opportunity to honor local institutions and individuals who are leaders in the field of mental health. The Sandra Rhodes Community Leader Award will be awarded to Mines and Associates for their managed behavioral health care and employee assistance programs that help address the mental health needs of Coloradans. High school students Jasmine Valdez and Darius Wimberly will be awarded the MHAC Youth Leadership Award for challenging themselves and others around them to tackle the issue of stigma head-on by speaking publicly about mental wellness and lessons they have learned from Check Your Head. The work done by these leaders is an important investment in Colorado's future and deserves to be celebrated.
"Improving Lives, Transforming Minds" will highlight four great programs:
Pro Bono Counseling &Referral
Check Your Head
Mental Health First Aid
Brain Trust/Speaker Spotlight Series
