Community Provider Rate Increase
Thank you for your participation as a part of our Medicaid Targeted Rate Increase process for the 2014 legislative session. We feel strongly that this stakeholder process was important not only for the upcoming fiscal year, but to help the Department inform areas where we can create value and access for our clients in the future. Every proposal was thoughtfully analyzed, and every email was read and reviewed. Your input was used to refine and expand the targeted rate increases forwarded to the Colorado legislature.
As a result of these efforts, the Colorado General Assembly approved a series of targeted rate increases to specific providers, codes and specialties. These increases are separate from the 2% across-the-board raise for all providers also approved by the Assembly. The targeted increases are aimed to address large inequities in rates and to demonstrate the Department's priority to pay for services that provide high value for clients. Please note that federal approval may take a number of months, particularly for HCBS waiver increases. In that case, retro-active payments will be made to reflect the July 1st effective date.
A brief description of each rate increase is available at this link.
We value the rich and diverse input from our provider partners and their representatives in this year's Targeted Rate Increase process. Thank you for your partnership in serving Colorado Medicaid clients.
